Lea Psychology

Dr. Eloise Lea  (BSc. (Hons), PGCert, PGDip, DClinPsy)

My name is Eloise Lea and I am a Clinical Psychologist based in Malvern, Worcestershire. I have worked in NHS mental health services for 12 years both as a Clinical Psychologist and before this, a Registered Mental Health Nurse. I have experience working with a range of psychological difficulties with people across the life span, from babies and their families to older adults. I continue to practice on a part time basis for the NHS and am currently based in a paediatric diabetes team in Worcestershire.

I believe that every person has unique life experiences and history and how these interact with their present challenges and difficulties will therefore be different for each person. I aim to tailor the therapy I provide through dynamic collaboration with each individual and take time to fully understand the various systems and external factors that impact upon well-being. An important part of therapy is the relationship between client and therapist and I ensure that adequate time is spent forming this. I will regularly check in with the client about how we interact in the sessions in order to look after and develop the relationship. I encourage open and honest discussions on both sides throughout the therapeutic journey.

I am passionate about empowering individuals to realise their full potential and achieve healthy mental well-being, free from psychological distress. Please read in more detail about the services I offer as well as the types of difficulties I can help with and special interests I have.

My qualifications:

BSc Mental Health nursing (1st class)
Post Graduate Certificate Psychology (distinction)
Post Graduate Diploma Psychology (distinction)
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
